Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

Techlane AI Private Limited (we, us, the Company) operates the website techlane.ai and the AI employee platform at platform.techlane.ai (together, the Service). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how long we keep it and the rights you have. It applies to customers everywhere; customers outside India are served under the same policy and billed in US dollars. It is written to comply with the Information Technology Act 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.

1. Who we are and how to reach us

The data fiduciary is Techlane AI Private Limited, Asset-5A Aerocity, JW Marriott Hotel, New Delhi 110037, India. For any privacy question, request or complaint, write to our Grievance Officer at admin@techlane.ai or call +91 9773665117. We acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and resolve them within 30 days, as the law requires.

2. What we collect

  • Account data: your name, email address, phone number, company name and sign-in identifiers when you create an account.
  • Billing data: the amount, date, currency and payment reference of each transaction. Card and bank details are entered on our payment partner's pages and never reach our servers.
  • Workspace data: the instructions you give your AI employees, the files you upload, and the messages, documents and records the employees create or process on your behalf, including content from tools you choose to connect (for example a mailbox, WhatsApp, a calendar or a cloud drive).
  • Connection credentials: tokens or keys you provide to connect a third-party tool. These are encrypted at rest and used only to act on your instructions.
  • Usage and technical data: pages visited, features used, model calls and their cost, device and browser type, IP address and approximate location, and error logs.
  • Communications: messages you send us by email, chat, phone or the contact form.

3. Why we use it (purposes and legal basis)

  • To provide the Service you signed up for: creating and running your AI employees, connecting your tools, storing your workspace, and billing you (performance of a contract).
  • To keep the Service secure and reliable: authentication, fraud and abuse prevention, backups, incident response and audit trails (legitimate use and legal obligation).
  • To meter and invoice usage, keep accounts and comply with tax law including GST (legal obligation).
  • To support you and improve the Service: answering requests, measuring which features work, fixing errors (legitimate use).
  • To send service notices and, only with your consent, product updates you can opt out of at any time.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use your workspace data to train models for other customers.

4. AI processing and third parties

Your AI employees run on third-party large language model providers under contracts that prohibit those providers from using your data to train their models. Only the content needed to complete a task is sent, over encrypted connections. We also use processors for hosting (cloud infrastructure in India), payments (Razorpay and, where applicable, other licensed payment processors), email delivery, analytics and support tools. Each processor is bound by a data processing agreement and may process data only on our instructions.

When you connect a third-party tool, that tool's own privacy policy governs what it does with your data. You can disconnect any tool at any time from the dashboard, which revokes our access.

5. Google user data (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive)

If you connect a Google account, the Service accesses only the Google data needed for the features you turn on, and only on your instructions:

  • Gmail: we read messages and attachments in the connected mailbox so your AI employee can file papers into the right case or record, note dates, and draft replies; we send email from the mailbox only when you, or a standing rule you set, approve it.
  • Google Calendar: we read and create events so hearings, deadlines and meetings appear on your calendar.
  • Google Drive: we read, create and update files in the folders you choose, to keep your records in sync.

Google user data is used only to provide and improve these user-facing features for you. It is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not used to develop, improve or train generalised artificial intelligence or machine learning models. It is shared only with the processors described in section 4 to complete your task (for example an AI model provider bound not to train on it), never with anyone else, except to comply with law. Our staff do not read your Google data unless you ask us to (for example for support), it is needed for security purposes such as investigating abuse, or it is required by law.

Techlane AI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can disconnect Google at any time from the dashboard or from your Google Account permissions page; we then stop accessing it immediately. Copies already filed into your workspace stay there until you delete them or your account, as described in section 7.

6. Where data is stored

Your workspace and account data are stored on servers located in India. Encrypted backups are kept with a cloud storage provider and retained on a rolling schedule. Some processors (for example model providers and email delivery) operate outside India; transfers to them are limited to what the task requires and are protected by contract and encryption.

7. How long we keep it

  • Account and workspace data: for as long as your account is active. When you delete an employee or your account, its data is removed from live systems within 30 days and from backups within a further 35 days.
  • Billing records: eight years, as required by Indian tax and company law.
  • Audit and security logs: up to 12 months, unless needed for an ongoing investigation or legal claim.

8. Your rights

You may ask us to access, correct, update or erase your personal data, to withdraw consent where processing rests on consent, to receive a copy of data you provided, and to nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf. Write to admin@techlane.ai from your registered email; we verify identity before acting and respond within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied with our response you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, isolated workspaces per customer, role-based access with least privilege, encrypted backups, and an audit trail of administrative actions. Access to production systems is limited to named staff and reviewed periodically. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting your data occurs we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

10. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms, and privacy-friendly analytics to count visits. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser; signed-in features will then not work.

11. Children

The Service is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided data to us, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service and the law change. Material changes are announced by email or in the dashboard at least 15 days before they take effect. The date at the top shows the current version.
